DNS Server - Centos 6.5

Dear all,

Pertama install centos 6.5 dulu (basic server saja), lalu setting network server nya

# vi /etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth0
IPADDR=103.31.159.102
NETMASK=255.255.255.128
GATEWAY=103.31.159.1
BOOTPROTO=static
ONBOOT=yes
DNS1=116.66.206.66
DNS2=116.66.200.28

Lalu restart network interface

# /etc/init.d/network restart

Lalu tes ping internet

# ping 8.8.8.8
# ping google.com
# ping republika.co.id

Lalu kalau punya waktu luang dan bandwith besar bisa melakukan update

# yum update

Lalu install bind

# yum install bind* -y

Lalu config named / bind

# vi /etc/named.conf
listen-on port 53 { 127.0.0.1; 103.31.159.102; }; ### Master DNS IP ###
allow-query     { localhost; 0.0.0.0/0; }; ### IP Range ###
//dnssec-validation yes; ### dicomment
//dnssec-lookaside auto; ### dicomment

Lalu restart named / bind service

# /etc/init.d/named restart

Lalu allow iptables

# vi /etc/sysconfig/iptables

-A INPUT -m state --state NEW -p tcp  -m tcp --dport 22 -j ACCEPT
-A INPUT -m state --state NEW -p tcp  -m tcp --dport 53 -j ACCEPT
-A INPUT -m state --state NEW -p udp -m udp --dport 22 -j ACCEPT

Lalu restart iptables nya

# /etc/init.d/iptables restart

Oke udah selesai, tinggal cek dan gunakan dns server ini pada komputer lain

nslookup
> 103.31.159.102

nslookup @103.31.159.102 google.com
nslookup @103.31.159.102 google.com

dig 103.31.159.102

Static Route On Windows

Hahahaha... I don't think that I have to use static route on Windows XD

This will useful if we have 2 connection in one computer, and we wan't to route any destination address with one of these...

Example...

I have 2 connection:

1. LAN Ethernet
 ip address: 10.10.10.2
 mask: 255.255.255.0
 gateway; 10.10.10.1

2. Wireless Ethernet
 ip address 192.168.1.2
 mask: 255.255.255.0
 gateway: 192.168.1.254

As a default, my computer route will pass the LAN Ethernet, but in this condition I wanna route 8.8.8.8 via my Wireless Ethernet... then I have to use this static route on my computer

- Run CMD as Administrator
- route add 8.8.8.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.254 metric 1

if you wannt persistant this rule add -p argument
- route -p add 8.8.8.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.16.1 metric 1

if you wannt delete this rule
- route delete 8.8.8.0

Check your routing table
- route print

Ganbateeeeee :p
